Letting go of attachments leads to life.

Psalm 16:11

You will show me the path to life, abounding joy in your presence, the delights at your right hand forever.

Are you on “the path to life”?

Are you living with purpose and joy?

It’s hard to always be joyous…but when I am truly experiencing joy…I’m totally present to the moment at hand. I am totally engrossed in what I’m doing. I’m totally focused on whatever is happening. I’m totally conscious.

But how often are our minds instead lost in the noise of constant thoughts, judgments and worries? We are not present to the Divine Presence at all!

We all need a guide in life. What better guide is there than Jesus who said that he “is the way and the truth and the life” (John 14:6)?

His ministry was a model for us in how to “let go.”

We are called to “die” to our ego’s desires…so that we can truly live.

Jesus said, “Unless a grain of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains just a grain of wheat; but if it dies, it produces much fruit” (John 12:24). There is a way to practice this.

Try sitting in silence.

Allow your thoughts to drift away.

Simply sit with the Source of all that is…and allow your path to life to unfold.

This path will no doubt lead you to make changes…to take risks…to leave something, someone or some way of life behind. But it will be in the change…in the “letting go”…that you will be transformed…and in that transformation…you will experience “abounding joy”!
