When he entered the house, the blind men approached him and Jesus said to them, “Do you believe that I can do this?” “Yes, Lord,” they said to him. Then he touched their eyes and said, “Let it be done for you according to your faith.” And their eyes were opened. Jesus warned them sternly, “See that no one knows about this.”
Jesus wants to bring healing to everyone in ways that will bring wholeness to each person. It’s all about redemption and wholeness…not punishment. God has an unending supply of grace to pour out on us all. The goal for each of us is transformation. Notice how Jesus wanted no attention from the healing of the two blind men. The focus is not on His healing ability…but on the personal inner-transformation of the two men. It was about restoring them to wholeness and inclusion to their community. Where in your life do you need Christ’s healing touch? Where are you hurting or feeling unworthy or ‘not-good-enough’? That is precisely the place where the risen Christ wants to embrace you and tell you that you are loved just as you are…unconditionally! It is not a shameful place…but a sacred place where you are able to receive transforming grace. Allow God to be with you there. Receive the Grace that is freely given!
