Let Go

Luke 11:9, 11, 13
“Ask and you will receive; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. What father among you would hand his son a snake when he asks for a fish? If you then, who are wicked, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the Father in heaven give the holy Spirit to those who ask him?”

If we open ourselves to the Holy Spirit and surrender our desires to God…then when we ask our Creator for something…we will already be in tune with what the Holy Spirit is yearning for in our hearts. We will also be open to saying, “Your will be done.” Jesus says that we can then be sure that God, like a loving parent, will always answer and give us what is best for us. What we receive may not be what our egos want…but it will always be what our true selves need.
